One thing quickly became clear: It is so very easy to give in to your cravings when you’re home alone all day. After all, no one sees how many cookies you really had. And honestly, you need a reward and some motivation. Right?

We’ve been there - and we have a solution. Check out these 5 super tasty and amazingly healthy snacks you can binge on without feeling bad. The best thing about them? They’re ready in just 5 minutes!

  • Popcorn

Popcorn is healthier than you might think. It is actually full of fibre and antioxidants. One serving provides you with up to 70 percent of your daily whole grain dose! What makes it bad for you are the additional ingredients, like butter or caramel. So make it yourself - and make it better!

We love this Spicy Sriracha Popcorn that is featured on the Wayfair blog. But to be honest, there are no limits. Combine any spices and flavors that come to your mind and enjoy a guilt-free pleasure.



  • Raw Balls

Raw balls are a huge trend, and rightly so. They’re sweet, tasty and wholesome. Check out these quick and easy Peanut Butter Cup Energy Balls by Minimalist Baker. They’re full of good stuff: oats to fill you up, chia seeds for extra fibre, peanut butter for energy, dates for gentle sweetness and some dark chocolate for the little extra something.

Feel free to be creative, and add some desiccated coconut or some tangy cranberries. They keep for a few days if chilled, so you can even make some ahead.

At some point during your home office isolation you will inevitably end up reaching for that tub of ice cream in your freezer. Don’t! We have a much healthier but equally delicious suggestion for you: homemade fruit sorbet. It’s fat-free and low sugar (you can even skip the sugar altogether depending on what type of fruit you’re using).

  • Homemade Chips

Gotta love chips with their crunchy goodness and salty perfection! Unfortunately they’re also pretty unhealthy, as they’re full of fat and sodium. 

Luckily there’s an alternative! Rachel Cooks has a fabulous recipe for Homemade Sweet Potato Chips (works with regular potatoes, too). Since you make them in the microwave there is no need for a fryer and a low-fat result! Be creative with the seasoning - we love black pepper and rosemary!

  • Flapjacks

Looking for an energy boost? Good! Homemade flapjacks are your go-to snack then. Check out these amazing and super easy Flapjack Recipe Ideas by Gousto. They take just 5 minutes and very few (very good!) ingredients.
